Who we are
Learn more about Y30
Y30 is an independent, non-governmental, non-profit organisation founded in 2016. With offices in both Switzerland and Yemen, its mission is to help the Yemeni people cope with the consequences of war and build a post-war Yemeni society.
Through its various programmes and initiatives, Y30 seeks to improve the lives of communities so that fewer people are dependent on foreign humanitarian aid. To carry out its mission, the association focuses on 3 fundamental priorities: education, agriculture and humanitarian aid.
All our projects are carried out by our team based in Yemen, which strives every day to contribute to the achievement of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) 1 (No Poverty), 2 (Zero Hunger) and 4 (Quality Education) of the United Nations 2030 Agenda.
All our actions are guided by a cross-cutting principle: the achievement of SDG 5, gender equality and the empowerment of women and girls. Y30 also stands out for its strong involvement in reviving coffee production in Yemen, as we believe that it is through this historic agricultural wealth that the Yemeni people will rebuild their strength.

YEMENI COFFEE
Yemen is the oldest coffee-producing country. For centuries, Yemeni coffee has been renowned worldwide for its unique and intriguing taste – wild, intense, and earthy – and for its exceptional quality. Y30 believes in coffee’s potential to create sustainable economic opportunities for Yemen’s rural populations, building on expertise acquired over centuries.
